IPS Scoops Gold!

Our team is celebrating after becoming the first northern business to achieve a gold award when we were reassessed recently under the latest Investors In People scheme.
Investers In People was developed in the early 1990's to help organisations become more effective by developing and harnessing the skills of their people to achieve the organisation's goals. Nowadays successful assessment involves many interviews with staff as well as management being able to clearly demonstrate a commitment to our people.

"This is an impressive achievement," said Robert Macleod, Managing Director of Investors In People North East. "They have not only committed themselves to improving their business performance through Investors In People but also chose to go for gold which does not involve a significant amount of extra work. Less than 1% of all IIP organisations in the UK achieve gold recognition and it means that they have achieved world-wide best practice.

David Stidolph - IPS Operations Manager - co-ordinated the reassessment and commented: "We have a very loyal workforce of 41 employees and Investors In People plays a very important part in our drive to continually improve our business. It has made a huge difference to our efficiency and to our company".
