PVDF Tubing

PVDF tubes are an economic alternative to th other fluoroplastics because of their low specific weight. PVDF is meltable with thermal forming processes. PVDF tubing is safe and non-toxic. PVDF tubes are resistant to most inorganic chemicals such as acids and salts - even at elevated temperatures or when highly concentrated. Our PVDF tubing has an excellent resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, organic acids, alcohols and aromatic compounds. On the other hand PVDF can be dissolved by dimethylformamide and dimethylacefamide. PVDF is also alkalis and fuming sulfuric acid (oleum). If these substances are to be handled the recommended choice will be fluoroplastic like PTFE, PFA and MFA. The permeation values of PVDF are low.
