2015 is a special year for us here at IPS. On July 1st it will be 25 years since the company first started trading.

From humble beginnings in a “borrowed” corner of a friend’s warehouse, our founding Directors, Peter Ferries and Trevor Atkinson, began to build the business we see today. With three employees, Kevin Curran (now our M.D.), Joanne McKeown (18 at the time, and still with us) and Eric Burney (with us until his retirement in 2013), they determined to set the standards for quality and service within our industry. That ethos is still with us today, and although Peter and Trevor have moved on to pastures new, we still have the same passion to remain the best in our business. We now employ 40 people, with plans for more this year, and every one of them is dedicated to complete customer satisfaction.

A series of moves has culminated in our current location in Seaham where, with a total of 58,000 square feet of storage, we maintain a high level of stock, which we dispatch to all parts of the UK for next day delivery. We average a complete, first time dispatch rate of 94% - how many suppliers can do that?

We are really proud of what we have achieved so far and, with exciting new product ranges being introduced this year, we are confident that the business will continue to provide our customers what they want, when they want it!
