About Spears Manufacturing
Spears Manufacturing specialises in PVC and CPVC piping components for industrial processing,
water treatment, chemical handling, fire protection and other fluid-handling applications. Its range
covers moulded and fabricated pipe fittings, valves, pipe, solvent cements and accessories produced
for use within compatible thermoplastic systems.
Spears Products and Systems
The Spears product range gives designers, installers and maintenance teams access to compatible
components from one established manufacturer. Options include standard and specialist fittings,
manual and actuated valves, FlameGuard® CPVC fire sprinkler products, joining materials and
installation accessories.
Spears PVC and CPVC Fittings
Spears produces one of the industry’s widest ranges of PVC and CPVC pipe fittings, including
Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 components. Suitable products are manufactured from compounds
conforming to standards such as ASTM D1784, while Schedule 80 PVC fittings may be produced to
ASTM D2467. The correct fitting must be selected for the pipe material, pressure, temperature and
chemical service.
Spears Thermoplastic Valves
The Spears valve range includes ball valves, butterfly valves, check valves, diaphragm valves and
other flow-control products. Available material options support water, chemical and industrial piping
duties where resistance to corrosion and dependable operation are important.
Spears FlameGuard® CPVC Fire Sprinkler Systems
FlameGuard® is Spears’ CPVC fire sprinkler system, covering approved pipe, fittings, valves, solvent
cement and related equipment. It offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to metal
pipework for residential, light-hazard and other specifically approved fire protection installations.
Spears Solvent Cements and Accessories
Spears supplies solvent cements, primers, tools and accessories for making compatible PVC and
CPVC pipe connections. Product choice depends on the pipe material, diameter, application and
working conditions, so current joining instructions should always be followed.
