Swissfluid fully lined SSC Swing Check Valves are designed specifically for applications with highly corrosive media. They can replace similar valves made from exotic – and expensive – alloys. This valve is suitable for horizontal and vertical piping systems thanks to its ingenious construction where the disc is in full contact with the housing in horizontal applications. Additionally, the disc comes with a precision-machined lip which helps achieve leak-free sealing with minimal pressure differential, and its full-bore lined SS disc snaps into place in the lined body and cannot drop out during installation.
The state-of-the-art design of our SSC Swing Check Valve allows easy and accurate positioning of our valve in ANSI as well as DIN piping systems with the fully integrated centering lugs. An additional, easily accessible drill hole situated between the centering lugs further facilitates installation of larger sizes. Minimum pressure loss is achieved by the large opening angle of the disc in our Swing Check Valve.
The standard lining material for our Swing Check Valves is highly permeation-resistant PFA or PFA-AS (anti-static). Options include solid metal discs made from SS316L, Titanium Gr. 2 and Hastelloy-C. Fluoroplastic linings of the body and fully encapsulated disc are mechanically-locked assuring form-stable adhesion over the entire application range, which is critical in high temperatures or vacuum conditions.
Our standard body material is ASTM A-216 WCB (1.0619). AISI A316 stainless steel (CF-8M / 1.4408) bodies can be furnished also, for service in corrosive atmospheres. Our Swing Check Valves are available wafer style; however, for heavy-duty applications flanged lug connections are available on request. Face-to-face dimensions are in accordance with EN 558-1 row 20.
Not only do SSC Swing Check Valves distinguish themselves with their quiet operation, they are also maintenance-free and can be used with differential pressure up to 10 bar (145psi) in temperatures ranging from -40°C (-40°F) to 200°C (392°F).
The self-sealing disc protects the system from pressure surges common in longer piping systems, and acts as an excellent barrier to the unintended draining of media in piping systems during maintenance and repair work.
